We're Hiring: Electronic Control Technician

Location: Cayman Islands

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: KYD $18.75 – $24.00 per hour

The Security Centre, the leading provider of electronic security and smart automation solutions in the Cayman Islands, is seeking an experienced and motivated Electronic Control Technician to join our team. This is a key technical role supporting the installation, service, and maintenance of a wide range of electronic systems across residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Installation, servicing, and maintenance of intruder alarm systems, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and gate automation systems
• Setup and servicing of audio-visual and smart home automation systems (e.g., Control4)
• Cable installation, panel terminations, programming, and system commissioning
• Conducting inspections, fault diagnosis, and remote support
• Collaborating with project and sales teams for system design and client handovers
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards and company policies

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the electronic security industry
• Certification or degree in electronics or electrical engineering preferred
• Proven ability to work with a wide range of security and control systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with IP networks and system integration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of customer service

Additional Requirements:

• Must provide own hand tools, including a multimeter (specialist equipment may be provided)
• Must obtain a Cayman Islands driver’s license within three months of arrival
• Responsible for maintaining a valid Security Technician’s License annually
• Occasional travel to sister islands may be required
